How to make it
Fill a tall glass with ice, all the way, this is a long drink and it needs the runway.
Add the vodka and blue curacao.
Top with cold lemonade and a squeeze of fresh lemon to keep the sweetness honest.
Stir once, bottom to top, and watch the whole glass go swimming-pool blue.
Cherry on top. It clashes with the blue magnificently.

How to present it
Tall and impossibly blue with a red cherry doing its own thing on top. This is a beginner-friendly crowd pleaser, nobody has ever sent one back. Serve it at the summer party for the guests who find margaritas too serious.

Swaps & variations
Swap lemonade for club soda and add a half ounce of simple for a drier, fizzier ride. White rum slides in for vodka without anyone noticing. Frozen version: blend it with a cup of ice and it becomes a slushie with a passport.
