The method
How to make it
Muddle a cup of raspberries in the bottom of a pitcher until they are jam.
Add the vodka, lemon juice and lemonade, then stir.
Refrigerate for at least an hour, punch improves with a nap.
Just before serving, add the club soda and a big block of ice, one large block melts far slower than cubes.
Float fresh raspberries and mint on top so people know what they are getting into.
The serve
How to present it
Serve it from the pitcher or a punch bowl with a ladle, glasses of ice on the side. The floating berries and mint do the decorating for you. This is a drink for feeding a crowd without playing bartender all night, which is the host's real victory.

Swaps & variations
White rum instead of vodka warms it up, gin instead of vodka sharpens it. Frozen raspberries can go straight in and double as ice. For a bubbly upgrade, swap the club soda for prosecco and rename it something French sounding, your guests will believe you.
